Okay there's this guy that i met at my college. We met the first day and from there he got my email-from their instant message & from their we exchange phone numbers and we even kissed. Few weeks ago i realized that he added a girl on myspace. This same girl is in my art class whom, I am friends with. Today she told me that in september they met, she was coming out of school. he was going in & that's how they met. She even told me how he dropped her off home in his car & they kissed. Her number is changed now so they dont talk or even see each other everyday. He even asked me to go to the movies with him on saturday but im contemplating on whether i should go or not! The good news maybe: is that he met her while we didnt get serious yet. We still aren't serious now but idk just saying. This wednesday our plan is to set him up. Im going to text her to meet up with me & him infront the college. Cuz he usually walks me to the train station(nY state) every time we have classes so since she goes the same way i guess he'll be walking her to. I can't wait to see his face. Should i still go to the movies with him on saturday?my plan is to go make him spend his money on me, have fun, lead him on. Then bam wednesday catch him in his act. EVEN THOUGH! they dont even talk anymore, maybe his intrest is in me. who knows/ but JUST INCASE we are still going to set him up. EVEN THOUGH im not innocent my self i just got like a number from this guy at the same college yesturday, but nothing will happen with me and him. but back to the story! she's not interested in him, she's talking to someone else so neither her nor I feel played by this guy cuz we are all playing games. Its just he got caught tryna be dumb thinking what are the odds of us meeting up. But we did. But should i still go to the movies?????
Ok, I didn't have time to do my Olympiad #6, so I really need the answers, and what you did to get that answer. So, here are the questions....
1. A worm has to climb a barrier 25 feet high. It climbs seven feet every day and slips down five feet every night. How many days will it take the worm to reach the top of the barrier?
2. Amy has dollar bills and Paul has quarters. Amy exchanges (with Paul) a dollar for a quarter. She continues to do this until Paul is out of quarters, Paul now has six dollars and Amy has $6.50 in quarters and dollars, How many dollar bills did Amy have in the beggining?
3. Ralph spent $72 dollars for 320 baseball cards. There were 40 "old-timer" cards. He spent twice as much money for each "old-timer" card than each of the other cards. How much money did Ralph spend for all of the 40 "old-timer" card?
Thank you so much! I really need this. You can even call me a lazy-hobo if you actually do the math! And 10 points! 8D
Thank you everybody who has done the work and answers! And for you people who think I should do my own work, why don't you stop wasting my time and go fall in a hole and get eaten by a cow! Anyways, I am going to let the answers community decide who should win.
Hello everyone.

I check my make-up one last time
in a vanity mirror bought for a dime
A spray of perfume a dab on the wrists
Channel no 5 is what you insist
A flick of the hair and a nervous giggle
a sway of the hips, I saunter and wiggle
I hope my nerves won't fail when we meet
they shouldnat says my inner conceit
I straighten my bra straps perk up my breasts
under a low cut dress at your request
Locking the door I think of the night ahead
Undoubtedly, it will end in bed
you promise dinner, champagne and other worldly treats
Yet about those, we'll have to be discreet
I hope the night lives up to what we both expect
and that there is no disrespect
The car waiting outside is the colour of gold
the colour of money and power or so I am told
The restaurant lively and the food expensive
You stare at me enchanted yet pensive
The champagne flows like a sparkling river
invisible hands waiting to deliver
We bump into your work members and friends
You show me off to no ends
I lean close to them when they take my hand
I laugh at their jokes at your command
We dance I twirl and twist
As you assist
I am the ballerina in the box
escaping from broken locks
dancing under the spell of the jewelled songs
You take my hand and dance along
You smile as you tell me it's time
You don't notice the hesitance in mine
We reach your house and you park
under a large oak tree in the moonlit dark
The leaves whisper as we walk to your door
We enter and are strangers once more
You draw me close and pull me down the hall
to your bedroom where Iall give you nothing or all
A kiss on the neck and a stroke of the thigh
my dress over my head arms raised to the sky
A quick embrace and youare as naked as me
Now equals in our vulnerability
We fumble we fall onto your bed
my body to you is undeniably fed
you fill me, we shake
I make your world quake
Then I dress as youask me not linger
as there is no ring upon my finger
No other evidence of this exchange we will share
no emotions no love and neither of us care
You got what you wanted as I also will
An envelope handed to me, full of green bills
I give you a night of bliss
then leave, locking up the memory with a kiss
I have the LG Dare and it keeps on freezing up and shutting down for no reason. My 2 year contract isn't over though, but if my phone gets worse then I may be interested in getting a new phone.
How much does it usually cost to get a new phone if your contract isn't over yet?
plus, if the phone is a free one like I dunno a enV or something will cost me money to exchange my dare for a free phone. I don't want to, but my phone is glitchy and annoying.
Thanks for your help!!!
Well I'm exchanging my Samsung Impression and getting the iPhone 3G for less money but I heard the 3GS is a lot faster and worth paying $100 extra. Is it really worth paying $199 for the 3GS?
I bought a car from VW Listers in Nuneaton and they told me, that there was just 1 previous owner. Today I received V5C document and it states: "NO. OF FORMER KEEPERS 2".
Price of the car was 5.000 GBP. I brought my old car and they wanted to give me 200GBP for part exchange. I said, that my old car is definatelly worth more. They said, that they cannot give me more than 200GBP, but they will change the price of the car to 4.600GBP, so I'll pay 4.400GBP and therefore I'll "virtually" get 600GBP for my old car.
They told me, that they have 30 days money back guarantee.
What can I do? I'm really upset, that such huge dealer lied to me. Initially they gave me bat car specification. There had to be 8 speakers, alarm, MP3 player - and it wasn't there. So they fitted new MP3 player in. So it was first dissapointment, which they improved with that MP3 player.
Now I realised, that I'm not 2nd owner, but 3rd!
What should I do and what money should I expect to get back?
Many thanks guys

1. There is no computer in my room but in living room. Is there any restriction on surfing the website? There is no specific restriction, but
since Iam under age, Iam not supposed to enter into adult site. I will be dead if I get caught by the parents.
2. Q: Do your parents watch behind your back?
A : When Iam doing computer, my parents sometimes watch me just for curiosity but they never monitor me.
3. I wash the dishes every evening with my mom. In my house, itas considered to be natural for me to wash the dishes because Iam a girl. And I think so. In Japan, since most of women do house works (I mean chores)*, my mom taught me many things concerning housework. Therefore, I often help my mom washing dishes, cleaning and washing launder.
4. Q : What do you get in exchange for your jobs?
A : Since my parents think itas natural for me to do housework, it seems a bit odd to ask for exchange. When I was younger, I could ask my dad to give me some money after massaging him. However, Iam not doing it anymore. I think Iave grown!

Can you remember your own history ?
Peasants made a living off the land --- sheep -- wheat etc --- They were free for a while --- the uninvolved according to the ancient Kings and nobles - the names that were used to describe Scott's by the Roman Empire were telling of a general disgust for the wild people
The warrior Queen who lost to the Romans --- Their general said they fought bravely and their women fought to -- but were no match for the killing lines of a professional army They fought as individuals Romans fought as a group
The definition of a Noble --- a land owner --- The more land captured the more peasants owned the greater the food production for trade --- the more trade the better the weapons and the more people you could hire --- Hire to protect your stuff from the peasants who were owned Owned captured -- protected from other Lords and Nobles who might want to conquer them to move that Noble down a little in the ranks of nobles -- The wars of Houses ?
Houses Kings --- Queen's --- a faimily of the top noble
------------------------
The bankers are paid for their services --- by absolutely everyone They control the flow of deposits --- withdrawals loans and interest rates
That is one powerful owner of men --- other groups might own big huge corperations and be rich --- but their wealth is controlled by the bank --- stocks the dollar exchange the rates they pay out to investments etc etc etc
Raise the price of a commodity such as oil by adjusting an interest rate -- start giving money to bad ideas bound to fail You could do anything to even the highest ranking politican --- the economy must do what the money and its worth does ---
Production and the quality of life for each and everyone of us is in the hands of someone who controls our lives -- the price of food the growth of the national debt by raising a number --- 1 % interest translates into a debt expected of 100 dollars -- by raising it to 2% deficit growth doubles
Are the bankers of today the aristocracy with pancake make up of yesterday
The ones who said if the people can not run their affairs then we of the State will have to represent both the people and the State ? ..... and aren't the bankers doing exactly the same thing for us today ?
on ebay. some return policies say "refun will be given as exchange". Does that mean i get my money back? What does it mean?

Im traveling from the US to France in december. I dont know anything about current currency exchange rates so i was wondering if anyone knew if it was better for me to exchange my money here, or to wait until i arrive in france to make the exchange.
Also, if i understand correctly, the french use the euro? is that right? Well if so, what is a franc? and is it used?
I also am trying to figure out if by exchanging my money, will i have more money going there or less?
Please explain this very elementary, i find this all very confusing.
I have been communicating with this guy on the internet for a week now, he has offered to support me financially and buy me what ever I like. He wants me to be his son because he wants a dad and son relationship, what is this?
I'm not sure what to do he wants me to meet up with him on the weekend and take me out around town. He is a genuine nice person, but it sounds as if he wants to use me for sex in exchange for gifts and money. I don't want to have sex with him because he is like 50 but I still want him to support me because I am very desperate for money at the moment. I need some advice on what to do?
(this is unedited, word-for-word) Neither Person #1 nor Person #2 is me, in case you're wondering. IMHO, while I think Person #1 was somewhat harsh and immature, I think Person #2 showed complete lack of respect by not giving absolute closure that was requested (i.e., "Yes/no, I do/do not wish to be your friend.").
FROM PERSON #1:
"I've noticed that for awhile now, you haven't been making much of an effort to talk with me. You've also been excusing yourself if I invite you for conversation. If you don't wish to continue our friendship, I would appreciate it if you would have the respect to tell me. I'd be sad to lose your friendship, but I don't wish to waste my time or your time if you don't wish to continue it."
RESPONSE FROM PERSON #2:
"Hm I'm sorry you feel this way...but let me respond in a point by point manner
"you haven't been making much of an effort to talk with me"...Well i remember a certain person saying that she will be closing her internet account about a month ago. I understand that. you said you would talk occasionally online when you went to family's house or at the library. I've read all your emails responded to several of them. But i didn't know that there was a quota on how often i should talk with you. I'm online in the morning only for a few minutes to check email and or news. That's it. I'm at work or on my way to work when you're online. And in general I'm not online that much.
I've noticed that for awhile now, you haven't been making much of an effort to talk with me.
Truthfully I'm not as chit-chatty as I have been in the past. Plus I don't have a stand-alone version of chat (computers too old i think) and i don't have the money or want to spend the money on an upgrade right now.
You've also been excusing yourself if I invite you for conversation. "Invite me into a conversation?" I don't remember the last invite !?
"If you don't wish to continue our friendship".....hmm conditional friendship?
"I'd be sad to lose your friendship" (your words not mine)
but I don't wish to waste my time or your time if you don't wish to continue it. Sorry you fel tis way"
It's a genius budget travel concept that are great for families who are money conscious.
Why did Madison support the charter of the Second Bank of the United States in 1816 after letting the charter of the First Bank of the United States lapse in 1811.
A. Gave in to northern interests in exchange for moving the nation's capital from Philadelphia to Washington, D.C.
B. Low value of money issued by state banks led to great inflation.
C. Madison had lost his life savings when a private bank failed.
D. Spate of robberies and scams at state banks led many to close.
E. I'm not sure.
I'm 24, mine's 27, and we're considering marriage (he admitted first). We haven't explicitly said when, but a time frame we've suggested implicitly is about 2 years time, so I'll be 26 and he'd be 29 (that's when I graduate from college).
We've been dating for 5 months, but prior to this been good friends for 6 years... he was my last friend standing when my life was a living nightmare. We spent the first three years as friends studying in a faraway foreign country, and the last three back in our hometown living 10 minutes from each other, brought back by destiny :-)
I study journalism and he's working full time as a lawyer. He makes enough money to support both of us (albeit tight), but I'm optimistic about being able to work full time and contribute some finances by the time we get married.
Before starting the relationship with me, he's been single for many years and so have I (although he's attractive and has an eye for attractive women, but like me he keeps attraction as mere attraction until he finds stronger reasons to actually love). We're both virgins practicing strict abstinence, but I look forward to consummate the relationship once we're married.
We both know what we want in life and draw our common ground based on the values and faith we share. We trust and respect each other completely, work through opinion differences, and always try to understand each other. We have arguments now and then but we're very gentle with each other. We have fun, take things in the slow lane, and laugh with each other. We've spent time with each other's extended family. I love his family and he loves mine. We've started picking baby names, he started it first.
Do you think he's ready?
My man doesn't talk much, and being very Asian, we tend to hint at everything to test the waters before making any explicit commitments. I do believe that he's the one, and so do our family and friends. I love him a lot and feel very much loved by him, although he expresses it more through thoughtful actions every now and then rather than the regular exchange sweet words or physical contact.
So, men 25+... what are 10 signs that signify that a man is seriously considering marriage?
While I would be grateful for answers from any cultural background, answers from Asian men who value abstinence and permanent marriages will be mostly appreciated. Thank you! :-)

I was wondering - we know that any sort of exchange for sex is illegal...but what if say a person gives money for some worthless trinket after the two committed the deed?
This is something i want to bring up in law class but I'm too afraid to ask it.
Just to clarify: Person A buys a absolutely worthless trinket from person B for say...$100 after the two made love.
I'm 16, almost 17 years old, and a junior in high school. I would like to complete some of my senior year in Europe, any part would be fine. I am from the US, and I can speak German, French, Swedish, and some Spanish. What are some good programs that would allow me to spend 6 months, less or more is fine, in another country for not an extreme amount of money?
I really want to start a business and I've finally found something that I can do(and make a profit on). I'm 13 and I'm doing it to earn money for a foreign exchange trip to Japan. I know my parents don't have the money, so it'll take a while to earn it. The only problem is, is it LEGAL to do this? If I need some sort of permit, how do I get it? Due to the fact that I'm a minor, I feel it would be difficult to get it, if I can get it at all. That's why I'm asking.
Thanks in advance!
my boyfriend recently found 10,000 pesos sitting in his house and found out that is worth over $700 in US currency. we are going to go get it changed at a money exchange place. how much will they charge and what is the best place to go to?
I bought one of those Ponds cream/lotion from Target but was in a rush so I had just took it off the shelf and payed for it. When I got home, I noticed the seal had a hole punched through it on the side, meaning someone had opened it already. I was going to exchange it today but lost the receipt. It was $9 and I really don't want to just waste more money buying another one. Would it be not safe to just use the lotion?
Can you please proofread this for me. I suck at grammar, thanks!
* I do apologize for the length*
Almost anything you know is run or made by computers, industry, cars, jets, and much more. Businesses today rely on computers to make sure everything runs smoothly in order to keep their business going. Computers help businesses in so many ways. Computers have major effects on: multimedia and communication, advertising, market information, and management softwareas, translation services, exchange rates, courier or cargo tracking, and documents. All corporations keep all their data stored on a computer hard drive. If computers stop working just for a few days, kaos will take over causing the possibility of the stock market crashing. Banking system would fail causing an astronomical amount of money that will be lost. Without computers, our country would fail.
Computers are the most important innovations in history, without computers the world would not be able to function in the manner today that people are accustom to. Personally, computers help me in so many ways. Going to school online is great for someone like me. School has never been great to me. Online school allows me to pursue a degree in the field I want with an accredited college online, which I find to be absolutely amazing. Computers helped the world in so many ways and help us take a large step into the future. Computers are arguably the most powerful tools we as a society have ever created.
Hello! My husband and I are planning a trip to Egypt in Sharm El Sheikh, can we use U.S. money there to buy food at restaurants and shopping... or will it be better to exchange the money in the Egypt currency?
My sister usually gives me clothes for Christmas and birthdays but never in the colours I like, even though she sees me in the clothes I buy and we often talk about our preferences.
I know she enjoys many happy hours looking at catalogue clearance brochures, and often buys several of each item. I've often wondered if the things she gives me are some of these 'extras' (we're the same size) but have never been sure until this week when she came to visit and all her clothes were in the style and colours she gives me, several tops she was wearing were exactly the same as the ones I got from her.
That wouldn't be so bad if she wasn't so sniffy about what I buy her. I try really hard to find her something she'll like and often ask her the sort of things she wants, favourite perfume and brands or takes notes if she mentions something special. She's always casual about what I give her, never grateful and often doesn't acknowledge that she's received it or say thanks.
Every year I'm finding it more and more stressful to shop for her, and find I'm spending more and more money on her, more than I can really afford. I've often suggested that don't exchange presents, but buy ourselves something we'd like instead, but she won't hear of it.
Should I carry on as we are, or just keep the things wrapped up and give them back to her next year - I'm all out of ideas now.
I gotta laugh, Everywhere we go together people comment on us being sisters or ask if we are twins. We are both short and bit plump. Imagine we are wearing the same clothes we'd look like
****in tweedledum and tweedledee.
I know I have asked a similar question to this but it seemed to be a bit misunderstood so lemme try again. My ex husband has been in prison for over a year now being charged with 7 counts of 1st degree statutory sodomy, 8 counts of child molestation 1st degree, and 2 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. These are all offenses against the young daughter of his latest girlfriend, not against our own children. After a year he has apparently accepted a plea bargain that, FOR WHATEVER REASON, gives him 120 days in prison rehab and then 5 yrs probation.
Essentially, a plea bargain means he is stated on record that he did in fact commit those crimes against the child, correct?
We have two children from our marraige, ages 4 and 3. My question is this. Since he has confessed to doing this stuff in exchange for a short sentence, is that enough for me to simply petition the court for his rights to be stripped?
He would be living with his mother who is a drug addict, he himself is a drug addict and alcoholic, he also was in care of the state his entire life because he is brain damaged from an accident when he was 9 and has had accusations of molesting his younger sister at that age. He was never charged or convicted with it but his sister's father accused him of it and had him sent away to the state.
I also have threatening, harrassing letter he sent from jail, as well as letters stating he wanted to me to leave my finace so he could raise our (my fiance and mine) new baby as his own. has stated he wants to take the other two kids to live with him somewhere in southern missouri, and stated clear as day (yes he is an idiot) that he plans on selling drugs to make his living once he gets out.
With all of this evidence to show that he is a danger to the kids, what is the easiest and cheapest way to sever his rights? Would his being in jail for the past year count as abandonment? Does he have to be available to appear in court with us to sever the rights or can I do it on my own without him being there? I have little money and legal aid is still too expensive. (they wont do it pro bono) I need effectiveness and simplicity.
I live in Kansas if that helps.
I sold a car privately on Craigslist, for almost $500 less than I posted it for. The man who bought it said he needed a reliable car for his niece, and that he was paying the money up front for her. When I signed over the title, he DIDN'T sign his name, saying that his niece would take it to a notary/ currency exchange in the morning and sign her own name on the title.
When he left, I noticed that I needed to complete a Notice of Sale part at the bottom of the original title. (I had already detached it, so I have it!) However, I have to have his complete address. I called him and texted him relentlessly until he told me that he would give me his nieces (or her mother's) address that would be put on the title during the transfer. Dandy.
Today I received a text from him stating that he found a leak under the car. He was taking it to the mechanic to have looked at. I'm now afraid that he may come back for the money (paid for in cash), or avoid giving me his address to submit to the state.
I guess my question is: What should I do? What rights do I have as a private seller?
Thanks!
Landlords took off 200 dollars for "cleaning." With a strange turn of events we know the cleaning company that did the cleaning and what they did. Its illegal to charge for normal dirtiness. We vacuumed and washed the floors and windows before we left. So we could easily win this. My question is, can we say we want the 200 dollars back or we are going to sue you for that and the last months rent when the furnace didn't work or is that blackmail?
I didn't mention all the things we have document as them doing wrong. Statements and pictures. The furnace was broken 3 times thru the year and the kitchen leaked about 2-3 gallons of water per day of rain storm the year we lived there. The security deposit was a month and a half after we gave change of address (You have 30 days in NH) and they didn't give us the interest. Also the apt was cleaned and the cleaning people just revaccumed and patched 2 holes in the walls that were there when we moved in. We have documentation and statements winning wouldn't be the issue. Thank you all. Now I'm going to go blackmail my former landlord.
I've noticed that when it comes to material possessions and the luxuries that Americans get to enjoy each day that no other country can compare but I've also noticed that when it comes to the cost of health care & things like college America isn't that great. If you get sick you're swamped in debt our insurance companies are money hungry and have no real interest in the health of the people they buy off politicians to support their causes & brainwash people. I've noticed in other countries their general way of life when it comes to material possessions are lesser than ours I find the homes much more cramped and smaller than ours which is of course because their 'governments' have to find a way to pay for all the expenses free medicine would cost. So my question is are we putting material possessions above health? Do we value the size of our homes the brands of our cars and clothes over human beings? How would national health care effect America would we have to live moderately like people do in other countries? Would we be exchanging our luxuries for free health care & education?
I was pretty happy when I visited the UK for several weeks everything just seemed smaller there. I always notice the good & bad when i arrive back home from visiting other countries. Something that cannot be ignored any longer in this country is our health care.
OSU girl i fully agree with you.
Micheal everyone should have health care about 5 years ago I had the insane notion that my then boyfriend (now husband) & I were young & healthy so why should we have heath insurance? My boyfriend suffered a sports hernia while uninsured which required surgery naturally he couldn't get covered by any insurance company so we had to pay a massive and i mean massive bill. And as for myself I was hospitalized for almost one week with diverticulitis while insured & the amount i still had to pay with insurance was still extremely high.
Rick and in the event either of you get seriously ill what you will have to pay even with insurance will be extremely high and would be a disater for your situation it happened to me years ago.
ok, a woman is driving along and then they switch lanes without seeing me and end up side swiping me.. We exchange details, but I cannot get in contact with them.. My insurance company fixes everything for me but is now chasing them to get their payment..
What will happen if they can't collect their money or proved the other person was at fault? I know I will have to pay the excess, but will the other person get a default on their credit file, or is it handed over to debt collecters, and they don't get any strike on their credit?
I have a friend who I met online. We have talked to close to a year now. We chat on facebook, and talk on the phone at least once a week. He has been in a bit of a jam with money, and got an opportunity to live with a friend rent free in exchange for repairing, refinishing woodwork. He will not have an internet connection for a while. He made certain I have his cell phone number, and on several occasions told me to get in touch with him anytime. He just moved 3 days ago. He can't call me, there is a reason he can't call me which I'd rather not express here. I feel I should give him some time to settle in. I was thinking a week, or so. When would be a good time to call him?
I made a deal with my friend to give him my old ps3 fat, because he doesn't have one and is interested to buy it for a cheaper price. I am charging him $250 compared to the ps3 slim $330 (plus tax-estimate). I am also going to sell my ps2 fat and all its games, controllers and memory cards. This will get me, let's say, $80-100. So now, I have the option to get the ps3 slim. I don't use my ps2 so i don't need it. My old ps3 is a little bit scratched and has a lot of fingerprints on its surface. My friend doesn't care about the scratches. So, is it worth it? I have the money, and ps3 games, and I am going to save my old ps3 save files onto a USB and exchange the data. Is it worth it?
I have not dropped it, but Cod:WaW freezes a lot. I'm not sure why, but it just does. There are also a lot of fingerprints and a few scratches on it.
I'm the head manager at a Subway restaurant. My return policy is pretty cut and dry: Any employee can exchange an incorrect order at any time with absolutely no questions asked (we don't even require a receipt), and shift supervisors can process refunds if the food is returned with a receipt or if the employees clearly remember the customer. All other requests for compensation must go through one of two managers, who are on duty at least 75% of our business hours, usually more. Based on the legitimacy of the complaint, I'll usually either offer a free order or half of their next purchase. I will not give customers money if the product isn't returned, end of story.
I feel like my policy is extremely fair, but then again I've never really complained about a business before (notified a grocery store about moldy bread once, was more of a heads up than anything), so I don't know how ours compares. Every so often, and at least once a month during the fall and winter, we'll get a customer who thinks we're being entirely unfair and will completely lose their minds, throwing around swear words and empty threats about getting us fired. But even quite a few of those who remain relatively civil don't seem satisfied with our offers.
So I guess I'm just wondering how our policy compares to any others that some of you may have experienced. Is it really unreasonable or am I just dealing with a bunch of crazys?
Thanks for the answers, want to clarify a few things:
I'll offer a free order if we screwed up and we know it, when there's no way it was the customers fault.
50% is offered when there was clearly some miss-communication, but the employees have been trained to handle it better.
There are plenty of 'you should have been paying attention' situations where it's exchange or nothing... but maybe I'm being to lenient?
Oh and returns policies are determined by each store, they're all privately owned and operated, so I don't know how other Subways handle them.
This is my first job really, asst manager for almost 3 years, head for last 14 months or so.. It's just getting to be that time of the year all the customers seem a little more up tight.. dunno if it's the weather or the holidays or what.

I mean, a pen-pal, to whom I send letters through the postal service instead of boring, meaningless e-mails. I feel that if I used actual paper and money to send the letters, then I would be more committed and would put more time into writing my letters. Thank you!
I'm going to be in Paris for 6 days in mid-December. With the terrible currency exchange and being on a student budget, I really don't have that much. I will be staying at a hostel, which really helps with cost. I would really appreciate some tips on how to spend as little money as possible (transportation/food/sightseeing-free places/combined tickets, etc.).
I would appreciate constructive answers or else don't bother to answer.
Im getting ready to got to Houston on Saturday, I was wondering is there is an added cost by the bank to exchange the money. Besides the difference in the 2 currencies
How much and what did you say?
